This one day course provides detailed information and instruction for persons who are regularly developing traffic management diagrams using Invarion Rapid Plan software. The course works through a logical and comprehensive method setting up the drawing software and the canvas for diagram development.   • Understanding Rapid Plan commands and controls
  • Drawing Environment establishment
  • Setting up of defaults for commonly used items
  • Working with unrestricted canvas and nominated canvas sizes
  • Drawing of Roads, Medians, Turn Lanes, Slip Turn Lanes
  • Footpaths
  • Print functions
  • Pdf and Jpeg format production
  • Grouping and ungrouping of drawing objects
  • Designing of signs and other objects for diagrams
  • Use of shortcuts to aid drawing plans
  • Views and view rotations
  • Working with Drawing Layers
  • Copy and Paste functions within and to other applications
  • Using Google Earth and common mapping programs to assist with plan development
  • Applying sign distances to diagrams
  • Other items to assist with drawing productivity including the hidden shortcuts not promoted or easily found in the software.

The duration of this training course is for one day of hands on interactive instruction and exercises for all students. This course requires attendance and participation in the training program delivered by our qualified traffic management plans expert. The course will be delivered entirely face to face. Specific instruction will be given on diagram development if requested as an additional class.

There are no defined course prerequisites; however it is recommended that students have had some exposure to the software and an understanding of the basic functions.

Students must be able to read and understand the English language and be able to undertake some basic arithmetic.

Successful students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the course undertaken.

These courses are presented at our location in Ringwood or they can be presented at client locations for groups or companies with a specific requirement or a viable quantity to a maximum of 20 persons.
